Europe is undoubtedly one of the best places to travel. Not because the countries are better or worse, but because everything is so close and accessible to each other that you can simply buy a ticket to Europe and visit dozens of countries by bus, car or, as mentioned here, by train.

The best thing is that in Europe you have many trains, since it is one of the most common means of transportation.

Managing your time helps a lot and there are some types of itineraries. For example, the round trip. In this case you leave the city, visit another city on the same day and return the same day.

This way you won't have to spend money on hotels. Now, another way is the pit stop and this is common on trips. You want to leave the city or country where you are, but the train stops halfway where you stay for a few hours, and then continue to your destination.

The base city for your trip is Lucerne, so you may have some good itineraries available. If you have two days free to travel, take a trip from Lucerne to Bern.

You can take a more complicated itinerary that goes from Lucerne, Bern, Interlaken, Jungfraujoch/Top of Europe.

Base: Montreux or Lausanne

Leaving Lugano you can take the Gotthard Panorama Express towards Lucerne. From Lucerne head to Bern, then to Interlaken and finally to Top of Europe.

Stop being a tyrant with the Berina express route. This way, head to st.moriz. Stay overnight and head to Zurich. Spend the remaining days and finally go to Bern on a day trip. Then he returns to Lucerne as the classic rigi.

Using the Bernina Express route, leave Tirano and head to St. Moriz. Sleep the night and the next day go to Zurich and spend 4 days. Then use the shuttle to Bern and finally return to Lucerne. The last day can be spent in Zurich.

Leaving Italy, sleep in Lugano, then on the second day head to Bellinzona and take the Gotthard Panorama Express to Lucerne. After two nights, stop in Bern and then sleep two nights in Interlaken. Finally, go to Top of Europe.

Go from Milan to Bellinzona, take the train with the Gotthard Panorama Express route to Fluelen and by boat to Lucerne. After two nights, head to Chur and take a train on the Bernina Express route to Tirano, then return to Milan.

Take the Gotthard Panorama Express route to Lucerne. Then head to Lucerne by boat and after 2 nights, return to Bern. On the third day, head to Chur and continue to Milan.

Depart Milan with the Gotthard Panorama Express and take a boat to Lucerne. After two nights, travel back to Bern, the next day head to St. Moriz and finally take a train to Milan.

Stay in Lucerne for 2 days and the next day do the circuit from Rigi to Bern. Then go to Interlaken. On the fourth day, the Top of Europe circuit continues.

Spend 2 days in Montreux, the second day take a return trip to Bern. In the third go to Zermatt and exit in Spiez, continuing until Visp. After two nights, visit the glacier and gonergrat paradise.

After two nights in Montreux, take the chocolate train. On the third day, use the Bern day trip. In the fourth, go up to zermatt, go down to spiez. And on the fifth day, do the Gonergrat and Glacier Paradise.

Stay 2 days in Zurich, follow Bern with the ferry and take the Glacier Express to Zermatt. After two nights go to gonergrat. Finally, climb to the glacial paradise.

With a stop in Bern, head to Interlaken. After 2 nights Top of Europe continues. On the third day use the spiez and follow the Golden Pass line train route to Montreux.

After 2 nights in Lucerne, head to Interlaken. Then stop in Bern and spend two nights in Interlaken. Then follow the top of Europe circuit.

Two nights in Lucerne and a day trip to Bern. Then go to the pit stop and sleep there. Then take the Bernina Express to Lugano.

Two nights in Lucerne and a day trip to Bern. Then head to Liechtenstein. Sleep in chur and then take the bernina express to lugano. Spend the remaining days there.

After a night in Zurich, make a stop in Vaduz. Sleep in chur and then take the glacier express to zermatt. After 2 nights, reach Gonergrat and at the end go up to Glacier Paradise. Return to Bern in the afternoon.

Spend 2 nights in Montreux or Lausanne, on the third day use the Golden Pass Line route to Interlaken. On the fourth day you will visit the top of Europe and on the fifth you will make a stop in Bern. Then go to Lucerne and stay 2 nights. On the seventh day head to Lugano.

Stay one night in Zurich and then go to Liechtenstein. Sleep in chur and on day 3 take the glacier express to zermatt. After two nights, go up to Gonergrat and the other to Glacier Paradise. Then get off at Montreux. The remaining nights will be spent in this destination and you will have to make the return trip to Bern.

Spend a night in Zurich and then head to Montreux with a stop in Bern. After two nights head to Lucerne. Stay two nights and depart for St. Moris and stay 2 nights. On the eighth day, head to Milan.

After a night in Zurich, head to Chur and stop in Vaduz. Sleep in chur and then go to zermatt. Stay 2 days and go up to the gonergrat. On another, head to Glacier Paradise, and then down to Montreux, where you'll stay 2 days. Then depart for Lucerne and make a stop in Bern. Finally, continue towards Lugano.
